Another short story that left me reeling! What can I say about this series? I. am. a. fan. Book one introduced us to Eve and this secret society, but this book dived a little deeper into who she was. Into her past. If you read book one, then you know Eve got the Errand of her dreams. She gets to actually focus her revenge on the guy that ruined her for other men. The guy that hurt her. Henry. I hate to say it, but he seems kind of charming. I'm not sure if he can be redeemed or not. What he did was pretty awful, but part of me wonders if there's more to the story...? I'm not really expecting a happily ever after with this series. I'm not really sure what we're going to get because it's so different and unique...

I know these stories are short, but I think it's the perfect style for this kind of story. It sort of reads like a TV Series. I feel like I'm watching the season finale every time I pick it up. You get some of your answers, but it also leaves you with so many questions that you can't wait for the next season. I kind of thought that Eve would focus solely on her Errand with Henry in this book, but she still does other Errands!! ha! This series is seriously fascinating to me. I'm reading book 3 very soon, but I hear that it leaves off with another cliffhanger so I'm trying to wait a little closer to book 4's release. The good news about this series is that each installment is released 2-3 months apart, so there is no crazy wait. If you want a quick read that is a different flavor from all the other romance novels we read, I HIGHLY recommend this series. It's just so cool!

I am so hooked on this series! You NEED to be a serial fan to appreciate the concept of installments of a story over time, and not just a full-length novel reader. Otherwise, you will probably bypass this great story and just fixate on the price vs. length. There is a serial readership, so I get why some people might be upset about the price. But they aren't the target audience unless you are open to becoming a serial fan. ) We will pay for our installments IF it's a great serial. I'm a convert myself. BUT, if you understand how serials work and you like them, THIS IS SO GOOD!!

We get our first taste of Henry, the man that broke our Eve's heart, and the one who she claims led her to become the woman she is today. I'm so curious to know Henry's side of what happened five years ago that made Eve run. Henry does not come across as a jerk, so I'm extra curious how he married this gold-digger that would hire someone to help get her out of a pre-nup just because she wants 'out'. He's not cheating or anything! And it's only been 5 years since he was engaged to Eve. So, I know there is some good back story here people. Bring it!

I will say this series, although would appear to be erotic, actually doesn't come across that way. I'm way more into the characters, the plot, and what the heck is going to happen with Henry and Eve. There are sexual situations/scenes but they are not erotically done in my opinion. The author does a good job of making the reader feel like the 'scenes' are as meaningless to us as they are to Eve for her job. So, at this point, don't expect the typical hot and heavy moments. I'm anticipating this will come down the road and something to do with Henry. But, DO expect to be captured into Eve's world and how all of this is going to turn out.

So...I may have been slightly excited about this second installment of the Great Exploitations Series. I kept asking the author when it would be ready. Why do I love it so much? Well, for starters, it's smart. Then, there's the fact that it's unique. The premise is pretty awesome. Finally, it's totally sexy!

If you haven't read the first one, let me share a little about what the series is about. The main character works for an agency that helps blackmail cheating spouses. Typically, suspicious wives hire these "Eve's" to get their spouse to be caught in the act and use it in an divorce, etc. So, the main character, got into this business having been cheated on herself. She decided that she would never be hurt like that again. She did it for revenge. In the first book, we get an idea of what her job entails. Then at the end of the first book, she gets a big case. The guy who will make her bank. The same guy who broke her heart. And she wants to nail him to the wall.

So, now on to this book. "Ally", is in Seattle waiting to meet up with Henry. She's also working a side job, because Henry travels a lot and it's hard to catch him in one place. "Ally" has an advantage though. She knows his routine and she makes her move. The feelings that surface are unexpected and unwelcome. She has a job to do. But, seeing the man she thought she would marry, is stirring up some confusing feelings for her.

I already knew that I loved "Ally" from the first book. She's smart, sassy, and has some hysterical inner dialogue. She seriously cracks me up! What suprised me was that I actually liked Henry. Yes, she caught him cheating years ago, but I have a suspicion that it may not have been what it seemed. At least, I'm hoping that's the case. I don't want to like him, but it was kind of hard not to. I'm absolutely *dying* to see what will happen in the next installment! The ending left me screaming at my kindle "NO! I'm not ready for the book to end!" So, basically...I need the next one STAT!

Overall, if you can't tell...I loved it! These are novellas that read like you're watching a tv show. So, while it's frustrating when the ending comes, it leaves me panting for MORE!!!! If you're looking for a short, fun, and sexy series to start, pick this one up!
