The goal of this book is to give you ideas for condensing your home office files, so they can be taken with you, and not take up ¾ of the RV, or the bed of the truck.

For purposes of clarification, the definition of ‘office’ for purposes of this book is defined as accessible records, a laptop for creating/modifying records, a scanner for transferring paper records to dvd format, a portable DVD RW drive to convert records to DVD format, a printer to print out hardcopy of records if needed.

Records kept for either personal or business reasons, don’t need to be paper anymore, to be readable and accessible. They can start out as paper, as in something sent to you by mail, be that a bill statement, invoice, contract, etc. , and be converted, by you, into a smaller format for storing.

Recently in the local newspaper – there was an article about a woman, who had fallen on hard times, and decided to sell her house, and live and travel, in her RV. The article pictures showed the inside of her RV with the loft bed covered with shoe boxes of records, and a shelf nearby, also used for storing paper records. If you don’t want that to be “you” – regardless of where you live – then read on. RV’s are small enough, we don’t need to make them smaller, with an overflow of necessary records on every counter plus the bed. You can follow the steps here, to convert your necessary records, to DVDs, or perhaps even just store them on an I pad, using Cloud storage.
